The show that revolved around the lives of Arnav Singh Raizada and Khushi Kumari Gupta was quite popular with the viewers and had a great fan following.
Arnav was an arrogant businessman who falls in love with a middle class girl Khushi. Their love story had a lot of ups and downs and Barun and Sanaya's amazing on-screen chemistry is what made the show so popular. Their fans love for them was so intense that they campaigned for the show to go off-air when Barun quit the show, as they couldn't fathom someone else as Arnav.
Actress Sanaya Irani and Barun Sobti have been one of the most favourite reel life pairs of the Television world. Their show Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon was a hit with the masses. The show completed 7 years on 6th of June and fans couldn't stop beaming with joy on account of its seventh anniversary.
Sanaya, who essayed the lead role of Khushi Kumari Gupta in the show, put up a few pictures of her colleagues of the show on social media.
She wrote, "A little-known fact about Is Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon is that during my auditions, I was not expected to pull off the part and that kept me nervous all through. But destiny has its own way to surprise you, because it didn’t land me a show, it landed me a phenomenon. It gave me a role of a lifetime and what I can easily call the best show that happened to me for so many factors- for it was a set brimming with positivity and passion, so much that am sure, if the tune of Rabba ve plays somewhere, it will make us all nostalgic; for it gave me friends for a lifetime, who I’m still in touch with on an everyday basis; for it gave me the chance to perform a character that the viewers probably loved so much that they have immortalised it and even today the love keeps pouring in and it doesn’t feel like seven years, it feels like just yesterday that I put on the helmet and rode a scooty in the streets of Lucknow for the first shot. Thank you everyone associated with the show who made Khushi and Arnav so magical, and to all you fans out there for the unlimited love , much love, always. #ispyaarkokyanaamdoon.

Sanaya and Barun essayed the role of Khushi and Arnav resepctively. While the actress played the role of a bubbly and chirpy girl from Lucknow, Arnav essayed the role of an angry young man. The other primary cast of the show included Daljiet Kaur (Deepa), Deepali Pansare, Akshay Dogra, Abhaas Mehta, Utkarsha Naik.
Actress Daljeit Kaur, who played the role of Barun's sister in the show, also shared stills from the show.
